I am Wataru Onishi (大西 航), a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Riverside.

My research focuses on comparative political behavior and public opinion.

I use observational and experimental approaches to examine the intersection between political elites and the public, particularly, how elites shape public opinion.

I received B.A. from Osaka City University (Osaka Metropolitan University) in 2019 and M.A. from Kobe University in 2021.

I am proud of being a Liverpool FC fan since 2008.
